I'm selling my one-of-a-kind Condor Italia from the 1980s, constructed with Reynolds 531c steel and lovingly restored to it's fluorescent pink and pearlescent white finish. The colour really is striking and it's vibrancy will turn heads. If you want to own a British classic, then this is your opportunity.
I've been speaking to the team at Condor throughout the restoration, who've helped me identify the model and after a few trips to the Gray's Inn Road store in London, helped with the head tube decal as well (everything else is original). According to their team, this Italia, their most popular frame during the 1980s, was designed by Nigel Dean making it rare and sought after because he only designed the frames for a short period. His name is stamped on the dropouts (see photos). It measures 60cm from centre of the bottom bracket to top tube.
It rides fantastically with the lighter Reynolds 531c tubing (for competition) and is comfortable. It's been restored with a strong nod to the 1980s feel as a fixed gear bike with high quality parts:
- Vintage Cinelli "XA" stem
- Vintage 3TTT Olympic handlebars
- New PRO classic comfort handlebar tape in white
- Stronglight front crank
- New KMC Z1 wide gold chain
- Vintage Shimano 105 brakes (just serviced)
- Brooks Champion Narrow B17 saddle
- New wheels built on Quando hubs, including flip-flop rear hub if you wanted to easily set it up as single speed
This bike has some markings commensurate with age (including the fluorescent paint, which is chipped in some places or faded, but all re-lacquered). Overall, it's in great condition. Please note that pedals are not included. Viewings are welcome in SE5 (Camberwell/Brixton) as are questions! Pick up is preferred but courier can be arranged at buyers expense.
